Consociationalism, as a form of democratic rule, is a problematical and widely discussed topic. Its success in Lebanon, is often described as one of the success stories, in a vast financial backing of failures. After independence from France, Lebanons diverse and devout preternatural committees sought democratic rule that would not force them to affright their deep rooted apparitional affiliations and traditions.
